Neil Patrick Harris confronted criticism following a resurfaced photograph of his Halloween get together, the place a cake platter that seemed like late singer Amy Winehouse was served. The get together was held in 2011 and the resurfaced pictures made the actor look insensitive within the mild of the late singer’s tragic dying.
“A photograph not too long ago resurfaced from a Halloween-themed get together my husband [David Burtka] and I hosted 11 years in the past,” Harris advised Leisure Weekly on Monday. “It was regrettable then, and it stays regrettable now. Amy Winehouse was a once-in-a-generation expertise, and I am sorry for any damage this picture induced.”
The picture resurfaced on-line final week when a author named Ashley Reese tweeted the photograph, which depicts a decomposing corpse with a cigarette within the mouth, and known as it “disgusting.” Many followers commented that this type of a platter was “merciless” and disturbing.” The tweet was later deleted.

The Halloween party was just a few months after the death of Winehouse in July 2011 at the age of 27. The singer had admitted during her interviews in the past regarding drug and alcohol abuse, eating disorders, depression and self-harm.
The singer’s cause of death was alcohol poisoning. Considering her career, she won five Grammy Awards for her music album, “Back To Black” in 2008.
Harris, on the other hand, was last seen in projects like “It’s a Sin,” “Eden,” “Star Wars: Visions,” “8-Bit Christmas,” “F Is for Family” and “The Matrix Resurrections” last year. He was recently featured in an action-comedy movie, “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent,” which was dropped last month.
The “How I Met Your Mother” actor will be next seen in projects like “Billion Dollar Babies: The True Story of the Cabbage Patch Kids,” “Uncoupled” and “Anita.”
On the personal front, Harris got married to Burtka in 2014. The couple share twin youngsters – Harper Grace, 11, and Gideon Scott, 11. Harris and Burtka celebrated their anniversary final month. The actor shared a photograph of hugging his husband on Instagram.
“Our first date was 18 years in the past in the present day. And David Burtka, I’m not about to allow you to go,” he captioned the publish. “Glad anniversary. Thanks for displaying me the capability of my coronary heart. I like you a lot.”
