Inexperienced Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has determined to forgo his U.S. citizenship, following the Supreme Courtroom’s choice to repeal Roe v. Wade.

In the course of the London leg of his band’s “Hella Mega” tour, Armstrong addressed the gang from the stage Friday, and revealed his plans to maneuver to the UK, in response to Selection.

Armstrong’s announcement seemed to be well-received by his viewers; nonetheless, social media was abuzz with criticism towards the California resident.

Armstrong, who penned the politically-charged track “American Idiot,” has rarely shied away from being vocal about his political beliefs. After Donald Trump’s win at the 2016 presidential elections, Armstrong said America had voted “a fascist into the White House for the first time in American history,” according to Radio X

Forward of the 2020 elections, the place he was backing Joe Biden, Armstrong in a prolonged submit urged, “Our democracy is at stake. Our earth is at stake. We want well being take care of all.
